Well, it is exactly the opposite in our online coding programs. Our online coding programs for kids and teens work like a real classroom, but from the comfort and safety of your home. Your child will login and meet the instructor, who is ready to guide them and answer all their questions. They will also meet their classmates, who will become their partners in classroom projects, having fun creating applications and games online together. ​We teach live classes online: a teacher and a small group of students meet in a virtual classroom. We use web conference technology that allows live student-teacher interaction, including screen sharing, so everyone can see what the teacher is doing on their desktop. Students can fully participate in the lesson by using chat or their microphones. This method of teaching adds both a social and emotional element that supports the learning process immensely.

In our online coding courses, your child will do practical exercises in every session, and build their own applications, games and technological solutions. We believe in hands-on learning, so we focus on your children experiencing code, helping them turn their ideas into reality.

Our smart interactive tools allow students to share screens, share content, and speak with their friends and teacher during their live classes via text or live chat.

</> RECORDED LESSONS

All the lessons and classes are automatically recorded and available to students. Students who want to catch up on missed lessons or rewatch a favourite class can listen to these recordings on demand.

</> 24/7 LEARNING COMMUNITY

Like the internet itself, our learning community is always open. Students can write questions, thoughts and ideas on the community forum and get a quick response from teachers and friends. The learning community, which is managed by the teacher, allows kids to expand their knowledge outside of class hours. It also raises their level of engagement and provides social support.

All you need is a working computer with an internet connection and you’re set. We work with Windows and Mac operating systems.

We offer an advanced computer science and coding experience for kids and teens in a fun, engaging and memorable way and our methodology was designed to be compatible with and complimentary to everything students learn in school.

We don’t believe in students being taught by software and we don’t like one-size-fits all curriculum, instead we focus on a mentor relationship with an experienced instructor. And we believe that each student should be treated and developed as an individual. We teach coding for kids and teens by motivating them to use their imagination to create the game or application they always wanted to.

At Cheery Robot Academy, students don’t just listen, they DO. With our project based learning approach consisting of a series of coding projects that needs to be completed before students can advance to the next project or level with projects getting more personal and more advanced with time and progress. Students in advanced levels choose their projects and plan their implementation.

In our online courses we encourage our students not to be afraid of making mistakes. We create a supportive and friendly atmosphere in class, to encourage our students to learn from their mistakes with the support of the instructors and classmates.

​With our virtual classroom, location and traveling is no longer an issue because students can attend coding classes wherever they are. Our sessions take place online, with a live video feed from an experienced and attentive teacher. Our teams are set - so your child can develop trust and comfort and create shared experiences with both their teacher and their team.​

</> HOW WE COMMUNICATE WITH PARENTS

Parent-teacher meetings - Parents are invited to a parent-teacher meeting to get to know the teacher and familiarize themselves with the course content.

Periodic progress emails - During the course, parents receive emails updating them on class progress.

Lesson reminders - Parents receive emails, SMS and WhatsApp messages notifying them about their child’s upcoming classes.

Absence alert email - When a student doesn't show up to class, their parent receives an email update, offering help if necessary.
